Prior to ALPA Canada’s third annual Parliament Hill Lobby Day, President Tim Perry met to discuss parliamentary process and ALPA Canada’s government affairs agenda and with Marc Roy, former Ministry of Transport Chief of Staff and current Vice President of Public Affairs and Business Development for the Sandstone Group in Ottawa.
Sandstone specializes in providing strategic advice in matters of public affairs, government relations, crisis communications/issues management, public policy and legislation before Parliament and over the last several years, has provided valuable advice and assistance to ALPA Canada on matters pertaining to public policy and government relations.

L’automne a été bien occupé pour notre Association et nos membres. L’ALPA Canada reste plus productive que jamais, qu’il s’agisse d’assister à des conférences réunissant certains des plus éminents leaders du monde des affaires au Canada, de négocier des conventions collectives pour plusieurs groupes de pilotes ou d’intégrer Porter, notre 21e groupe de pilotes.
Les dirigeants de l’ALPA Canada – le président Tim Perry, le vice-président Gilles Boissonneault et le vice-président, Administration et finances Louis-Éric Mongrain, qui se trouvaient récemment à Ottawa pour une série de réunions, des breffages, et de la planification stratégique et d’événements, ont pris quelques instants pour enregistrer un nouveau balado de l’ALPA Canada afin d’informer les membres de ce qui s’est passé dernièrement au sein de l’Association, partout au pays.

It has been a busy fall season for our Association and our members. From attending conferences with some of Canada’s most prominent business leaders, negotiating collective agreements for several pilot groups, to onboarding our 21st pilot group – Porter – ALPA Canada remains more productive than ever.
Recently, while ALPA Canada president Tim Perry, VP Gilles Boissonneault and VP of Administration and Finance Louis-Eric Mongrain were in Ottawa for a series of meetings, briefings, strategic planning, and event planning, the officers took a few moments to record the latest ALPA Canada podcast to inform the membership on the latest happenings within the association, from coast to coast.

Late in 2024, ALPA Canada, along with the Canadian Air Traffic Control Association (CATCA) unveiled a comprehensive White Paper entitled Charting a Path for the Future of Canadian Aviation, that outlines actionable recommendations to ensure a safe, resilient, and pro-worker aviation system.
More recently, ALPA Canada President Tim Perry sat down with CATCA President Nick von Schoenberg to discuss several issues of importance to both pilots and air traffic controllers (ATC), with a look back at how the relationship between pilots and ATC has evolved over the years.
